Climecon has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the inaugural ventilation manufacturer to offer EPD-verified solutions. The Environmental Product Declaration represents a life cycle assessment that comprehensively documents the environmental impacts of construction products. The Construction Information Foundation conducted this verification, recognized for its standard-based criteria, mandatory third-party oversight, and rigorous approval procedures. Granlund Oy collaborated with Climecon on environmental impact analysis and calculations, while Ramboll Suomi Oyj provided independent third-party verification. The construction industry is experiencing a substantial shift toward managing emissions across entire product lifecycles. This transition is reinforced by EU regulatory frameworks, including the EU Taxonomy Regulation on sustainable finance, which mandates lifecycle carbon footprint calculations for sites exceeding 5,000 square meters.
