Finnish manufacturer Climecon designs air-handling components with a holistic approach to the wellbeing of people, buildings and the environment. It combines top-class engineering with Nordic design – products are developed with leading architects and designers and made in Finland.

People are in contact with indoor air throughout their lives. That is why Climecon approaches every space individually – from the viewpoint and needs of its various users. Climecon solutions cover offices and commercial buildings, public spaces, residential ventilation, professional kitchens and restaurants, schools, sports facilities, hotels, air cleaning and critical infrastructure.

Climecon has long collaborated with leading architects and interior designers. The result is elements that are not a necessary technical compromise but an acknowledged part of the interior – ventilation as part of the interior. CliMix® – nozzles combining a 100% adjustable airflow pattern with high induction (mixing with the surrounding air). Aim them with the supplied Multitool; by design the nozzle surface stays clean.

Biocomposite nozzles – on selected diffusers they replace plastic with biocomposite – less fossil raw material with no compromise in function.

Installation, adjustment and maintenance

SlideFix – a new generation of balancing for connection boxes: a transparent scale and a lock for the chosen position that does not shift even during cleaning or maintenance.

OptiINSTALL – a mounting rail for TUISKU external louvres – the fitter sets the height and slides the grille in horizontally; on multi-part assemblies it saves up to 50 % of installation time.

EasyCare – parts of kitchen hoods and ceilings (grease filters, trays, supply modules) go in an ordinary dishwasher; all surfaces are washable.

Dirt-repellent coating – a special finish on coated elements (e.g. AIRA valves, LINE plates) repels dirt – the products stay clean longer and are easy to maintain.

Plastic-free durability – the terminal units are designed for decades of service with no consumable plastic parts; optimising the steel also lowers the carbon footprint.

Multitool included – the tool for aiming the CliMix® nozzles is included – change the flow pattern without removing the unit.

Smart kitchens

AirBoost – hood capture airflow optimised by CFD modelling – reliable capture of grease vapours even in demanding conditions.

OptiDemand DCKV – demand-based control of kitchen ventilation: multi-sensors track kitchen use and the airflows adjust automatically – up to 50 % energy savings.

OptiConnect – remote monitoring over a 100% secure VPN – predictive maintenance and the assurance that the system runs as it should.

EPD – Environmental Product Declaration

What it is. An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a standardised, independently verified document that, based on a life-cycle assessment (LCA), transparently states the environmental impacts of a specific product – above all its carbon footprint (kg CO₂e), from raw-material production through transport to end of life.

What it is for. With an EPD, a designer or investor compares products on verified data rather than marketing claims. EPDs are the basis for whole-building carbon calculations and for environmental certifications such as LEED or BREEAM; in Finland they are published by the RTS Building Information Foundation.

Why it matters. Legislation and the market are moving towards carbon-footprint limits for buildings – and the balance cannot be calculated without data for individual products. Since April 2026 Climecon has EPDs for 100 % of its products, so you can include any element from this catalogue in a low-carbon project.

What Scope 1, 2 and 3 mean

Scope 1 · direct emissions – greenhouse gases from the company's own operations – fuel burned in production and company vehicles. Climecon's Scope 1 is at zero.

Scope 2 · purchased energy – indirect emissions from generating the electricity and heat the company buys. Climecon meets the SBTi target for Scope 1+2.

Scope 3 · value chain – everything else: extraction and production of purchased materials, transport, use and end of life of the products. For ventilation manufacturers it is the majority – which is why Climecon uses recycled steel and biocomposite.
