New carbon neutral product: LINE Accoya

Climecon launches LINE Accoya, its first certified carbon-neutral ventilation terminals made from sustainably sourced Accoya wood for residential applications.
Climecon introduced the LINE Accoya wooden ventilation valves, marking the company's first carbon-neutral certified terminals for residential use. The certification meets South Pole's Climate Neutral Label criteria, based on international standards. Over its complete lifecycle, LINE Accoya generates just 2.53 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, which Climecon offsets. The company minimizes manufacturing emissions through solar power generation, renewable electricity, and efficient production technologies. Accoya wood offers an environmentally sustainable and visually appealing construction option. The raw material comes from certified, sustainably managed pine forests. Its distinctive ecological vinegar treatment creates a durable, resilient material suitable for demanding environments like saunas, where exposure to moisture and heat is significant. Climecon achieved carbon neutrality companywide in spring 2020, demonstrating its commitment beyond individual products. The company was recognized as Kesko Group's sustainability partner for 2021 among all building and construction suppliers. CEO Tommi Uksila emphasized that carbon-neutral solutions are essential for construction and renovation industries, and that environmental responsibility is fundamental to Climecon's corporate identity.
