The carbon dioxide emissions of the OLO series have been reduced by up to 23%

Climecon reduced CO2 emissions in its OLO diffuser series by replacing plastic nozzles with biodegradable composite material.
Climecon's commitment to environmental responsibility drives its product development strategy, focusing on reducing carbon footprints through material substitution, optimization of resources, and more efficient manufacturing processes. The OLO diffuser series exemplifies this approach, achieving significant emissions reductions through targeted improvements. The OLO series underwent substantial modifications in 2022, including reducing steel usage by up to 18% and replacing plastic nozzles with biodegradable composite material. This biocomposite alternative carries a carbon footprint approximately 90% smaller than traditional plastic, resulting in meaningful emissions decreases per unit. For the OLO 250 diffuser specifically, carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 4.1 kgCO2 per finished product—equivalent to driving a car 285 kilometers or heating a sauna 8.7 times. Despite these environmental improvements, the OLO product series maintains its design appeal, durability, and technical performance standards, demonstrating that sustainability and quality need not be compromised.
